About me
Somatic Therapist | EMDR Practitioner | Trauma Specialist | Certified Nutrition & Wellness Coach - Based in the Turks and Caicos Islands , where I reside and Practice .
Many of the people I work with are capable, high-functioning professionals who carry a great deal of responsibility. From the outside, their lives may appear successful and stable, but internally, they may be navigating chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma, or a nervous system that rarely feels calm.
I am a somatic psychotherapist and the founder of ITAL Life and ITAL Somatics, based in the Turks and Caicos Islands. My work focuses on helping individuals whose bodies and minds have been under sustained pressure for too long. This includes professionals in demanding industries, caregivers, leaders, and individuals navigating trauma, ADHD, grief, or major life transitions.
My approach recognises that stress and trauma are not only psychological experiences, they are also physiological. When the nervous system has been in survival mode for extended periods, insight alone is often not enough to create change. Through somatic therapy and nervous system regulation practices, I help clients rebuild emotional resilience, reconnect with a sense of safety in their bodies, and develop practical tools for sustainable wellbeing.
My clinical training includes Somatic EMDR Therapy, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified ADHD Professional (ADHD-CCSP), and certification in Unyte Health protocols, including the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), and Integrated Listening Systems (ILS). I also integrate trauma-informed approaches such as Internal Family Systems–informed work and CBT-based strategies, along with integrative nutrition and lifestyle support.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, my professional path included work in healthcare systems and leadership within the hospitality and tourism sector. That experience gave me a unique understanding of how high-performance environments affect mental health and the nervous system. Today, I often work with professionals who are seeking not just symptom relief but a healthier, more sustainable relationship with work, stress, and themselves.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space that feels calm, grounded, and collaborative—where healing can happen at a pace that respects both the mind and the body.
Outside of my clinical work, I find restoration through photography, gardening, and collecting vinyl records, simple practices that remind me that healing often begins when we slow down enough to listen.
