About me
I am an experienced licensed professional counselor with over 35 years of experience helping teens, adults and couples.
I have always been passionate about helping teens, adults, families, and couples explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences in a supportive and objective way. Through this process, clients gain insight, develop new coping strategies, and build the confidence needed to create meaningful, positive changes in their personal and professional lives. My goal is to help each individual move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
To meet each client’s unique needs, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral techniques, psychoeducation, bibliotherapy, trauma-informed care, cognitive processing therapy for PTSD, and traditional talk therapy. I believe therapy is most effective when it is tailored, collaborative, and grounded in practical tools that clients can use in their everyday lives.
I have been providing counseling in private practice since 1997, and in 2026, I transitioned to offering services solely through teletherapy. Teletherapy has become a widely used and effective alternative to in-person sessions, particularly for those facing medical challenges, busy schedules, or other barriers to attending traditional appointments. It offers a convenient and accessible way to receive support without the added time and cost of travel.
My teletherapy sessions are conducted from a private, home-based office to ensure a confidential and secure environment. I offer teletherapy for both individuals and couples, with the flexibility for couples to join sessions from the same location or separately. While teletherapy is highly effective for many concerns, there are certain situations where in-person care may be more appropriate, and this is thoughtfully assessed on a case-by-case basis.
