About me

Experienced Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping people struggling with anxiety, panic, stress, sleep, trauma, etc. I've been there so I know how debilitating it can feel and how to help you manage those symptoms until you can let go of stress and relax, sleep, focus, and be yourself.

Struggling with anxiety, stress, sleep? Come see me because I can help you, typically in a few sessions. I'm the eternal optimist. I love working with couples whether I am their last best hope before the courthouse or they are simply looking to enrich their relationship. Active duty military and their dependents are a very important part of my practice. Specialties include anxiety, with or without panic, anger mgt, job-related issues, grief, separation/divorce, school, etc. All ages, seniors to age 10 or so. Approaches include CBT, AVE, Adlerian Therapy or Individual p+Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused BT. Most insurances and EAPs welcome.
Stress and worry, relationship troubles, difficult co-workers and supervisors, anticipatory anxiety, situational depression, sleep deprivation and others can build up to the point that we may struggle to let go of stress and get quality rest. I can help with all of this and more in a relaxing setting.
In A Pirate Looks at 50, Jimmy Buffett says going to a therapist "for a Southern man is like having a root canal and an IRS audit in the same afternoon." I am told that I have a gift for putting people at ease like going to see a good friend.
