About me

Licensed Mental Health counselor dedicated to helping children and their families, teens, and adults navigate the complex world of neurodevelopmental disorders.

I'm Loni, a licensed mental health counselor and ADHD certified clinical services provider. With a strong foundation in human development and extensive training in clinical mental health counseling, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their unique mental health journeys.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Human Development through SUNY Empire, where I gained a comprehensive understanding of human behavior and the various factors that influence mental well-being. Building upon this foundation, I pursued my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the College of Saint Rose, equipping me with advanced therapeutic techniques and a deep understanding of evidence-based practices.

During my transformative year-long internship at Living Resources (Albany, NY), I had the privilege of leading a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group for traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. This experience allowed me to witness the incredible resilience of individuals facing significant challenges and provided me with valuable insights into the importance of specialized care and support.

In addition to my work with TBI patients, I also facilitated a self-advocacy group, empowering individuals to assert their needs and cultivate a sense of agency in their lives. This experience highlighted the transformative power of fostering self-awareness, building resilience, and developing practical skills to overcome obstacles.

My approach to counseling is person-centered and collaborative, recognizing that each individual's journey is unique. By creating a safe and empathetic space, I strive to foster a strong therapeutic alliance and empower my clients to explore their inner strengths, identify patterns, and develop effective coping strategies.

I am passionate about supporting individuals on their path to self-discovery, growth, and overall well-being. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or navigating life transitions, I am here to provide compassionate guidance and evidence-based interventions tailored to your specific needs.
