About me
I bring a compassionate, person-centered, process-oriented approach to therapy. I want you to feel heard, seen, valued and understood as the unique person you are. Each person has a story and a purpose, and I am privileged to hear your story, honor your beliefs and worldview, and walk with you through life’s challenges.
I began my career as a therapist in community-based mental health 15 years ago, where I worked with people going through various difficulties. My work spans a wide range of concerns, including trauma and stress, abuse, relationship conflicts and communication, blended family and interracial dynamics, couples counseling, infidelity, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, pregnancy and childbirth transitions, parenting issues, anger management, and learning healthy boundaries. I have extensive experience working with children and families involved in foster care and the child welfare system. I also have additional training and experience in counseling from a Christian perspective, including navigating issues like church hurt.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in respect, authenticity, and genuine care for your wellbeing. I combine cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapy, but adjust my therapeutic approach to your needs. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. I believe in meeting you where you are and walking alongside you as you move toward healing and growth.
