About me
Hi, I am Lisa Livingston. I am a mental health/addiction counselor at GMCS. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling. I have been a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) since 2017, a licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) since 2015, a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP) since 2018, and in 2019, I became an LPCC Supervisor, and in 2022, my role changed once again to Clinical Supervisor/Director. For the past two years, I have been training in Internal Family Systems.
I believe in educating my clients on their mental health symptoms and substance use issues and providing tools to help manage their symptoms. I believe in working together, collaborating, and empowering my clients to recognize their worth and value, helping them see that they are more than just their diagnosis. I help my clients regain the power stolen from them through trauma and help them learn to live life again to the best of their ability. It's important to maintain self-care, which includes spending time with my family, biking, and visiting the lakes in the summer. I enjoy activities like fishing, hiking, walking the trails, and riding my Harley.
