About me
Over the past 18 years, I have been supporting individuals in finding answers that bring
them peace and emotional understanding. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a
Licensed Chemical Dependency counselor (LCDC), and a Board Approved LPC
Supervisor. I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves to thrive. I am
dedicated to helping individuals acquire emotional tools, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and empower clients as experts in their own lives. My ideal client is motivated, honest, and willing to work toward self-improvement. They actively show up to sessions, engage in the work, and are willing to work through challenges and discomfort while being transparent about their feelings, experiences, and setbacks. I provide a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment focused on self-exploration, self-acceptance, increased self-worth, and personal growth. I want you to
feel safe and respected throughout the therapeutic process. Because therapy often requires clients to share their innermost thoughts, fears, and concerns, I actively work to understand each client's experience from their perspective. Understanding a client's cultural background, beliefs, values and life experiences is an important part of the work we do together. As we build our therapeutic relationship, I take the time to get to know you, and support you in addressing life’s challenges while building on your strengths.
I provide plenty of time for clients to speak during sessions and I may ask questions or
seek clarification when needed. Therapy is a collaborative process, and together we will
work on a treatment plan to help overcome problems and build self-confidence. Using a
solution focused approach, we can identify specific actionable goals and brainstorm
concrete steps to achieve them. My role is to guide and support you while you make your
own discoveries. I want you to feel listened to, understood, cared for, validated, and
unconditionally supported so that you can develop self-awareness and the insights needed to navigate future challenges independently. I welcome the opportunity to hear your story and learn about your strengths and challenges. If you’re ready to take the next step, call or (469) 606-9526.
