About me
I provide virtual counseling services for adults ages 18 and older—including college students and older adults—who are navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, grief, communication distress, relationship issues, perfectionism, and lifespan transitions. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients build emotional resilience, improve well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I offer virtual couples therapy for partners experiencing challenges such as communication problems, trust issues, financial disagreements, emotional disconnection, and parenting-related stress. Through a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help couples strengthen their relationship by improving communication, rebuilding trust, and deepening emotional connection.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. I take an integrative approach to counseling, combining ideas and techniques from different therapeutic schools of thought depending on each person's individual needs, values, and goals. I collaborate with you to focus on your strengths and abilities to create positive and meaningful change in your life and relationships. In addition to being a therapist, I have over 30 years of varied nursing experience, working with and caring for diverse populations. This has deepened my interest and enthusiasm for helping people and shaped my counseling practice through a holistic view of mental wellness. My work offers an accepting and transformative path to personal growth and self-discovery by helping you build self-trust and recognize your inner capabilities.
