About me

Welcome and I'm so glad you found me! I’m here to be your curious companion as we navigate the unique road to You. I have 25 years experience in the healing arts and have 5 consecutive years of living and studying traditional modalities in Japan, China, and Thailand that strongly influence my work. Currently, I'm an experienced Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#16126 California) Supervised by Thomas Lucking, LMFT #97696 at Therapy InMotion.

Phew! I know it's not easy being here, but the good news is you've taken the first step! FYI, it is a scientifically proven fact that the quality of the relationship with your therapist can determine whether or not therapy will be effective...so, it is crucial that you are matched with the right person and feel like you are in the right place. With that in mind, please read a little bit about me and my work, and if you feel any interest tugging at you, then please set up a free, 15-minute consultation so we can meet!

My practice is somatically oriented and focuses on the experience of the body-mind. It is geared towards adult individual clients that are interested gaining insight into emotions via mindfulness, embodied wisdom (how you feel in your body in the here and now), movement, breathwork, art, music, dreams, and imagery. I can provide a safe and gentle space where you learn to befriend your most challenging emotions utilizing your own innate body-intelligence.

While primarily orienting from a somatic lens, my therapeutic stance is humanistic, and I hold as a basic tenet that humans are innately good!

I believe we all have an internal compass that is ever-adjusting towards our true and beautiful nature.  By honoring all of the integral aspects of ourselves, we step closer and closer to living out our unique and authentic existence - thereby becoming more and more in-tune with our higher selves.

Sometimes, we see things that are not easy to face. Perhaps we feel sadness, shame, uncertainty, fear, jealousy, anger, pain, denial or any number of emotions. In our therapeutic relationship, my aim is to help you to befriend these feelings and to experience them not as sensations to avoid but instead to observe and be curious about.

In addition to talk therapy, we can work at your own pace where we’ll use techniques such as movement, imagery, mindfulness, journaling, body-scans, and breath-work, as well as experiential exercises like narrative therapy that may incorporate music, song-writing, art, movement or other creative expression!

Most importantly, in my counseling with you,  I’ll exercise compassion, empathy, presence, and non-judgmental acceptance. These aspects of my style are what I hope will bring you and I InTune with one another. Eventually, you will carry this out into your own personal life where you can live at your highest potential!
