About me
Hello! My name is Lindsey and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over ten years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in a school setting in the New Orleans community for several years. I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, trauma and day to day stressors that affect a variety of ages.
I was born and raised in the New Orleans area, only leaving for a short three month hiatus due to Hurricane Katrina. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tulane University, and my Masters in Counseling from the University of New Orleans.
My approach to therapy is client centered, no matter what your age. I use multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. My main focus is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where I help my clients to explore relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs.
Outside of working as a counselor, I am a wife and a mom. I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my husband, children, and dog, and checking out the newest restaurants in the city.
