About me
I specialize in working with teens, kids, and the families who love them — especially when things feel stuck, scary, or like nothing's working.
If you're here because you're looking for a therapist for your teenager, I'm guessing there's a lot happening for you right now — but underneath all of it is probably worry. You might be angry, frustrated, scared, confused, or just completely exhausted (maybe all of the above, depending on the day) — but you know something's not right and you need help.
And if you're a young person reading this yourself: I see you. I'm not going to make you talk about your feelings on a timer or tell you to look on the bright side. That's not how this works — at least not here.
I'm Lindsey Regier, a licensed professional counselor based in West Linn, Oregon. I work with kids, teens, and families — and I've spent my career in the rooms where things get hard. Crisis work with youth and families. Trauma-informed care for domestic violence survivors. The moments where someone is barely holding it together and needs someone to be there when they fall apart. That background shapes how I work now.
Therapy with me isn't about fixing what's broken. It's about understanding where things come from and what they're trying to do — because your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors all make sense in context, even when they're getting in the way. Once we understand that, we can figure out what, if anything, actually needs to change.
I work with the whole picture: what's happening inside, what's happening in the family, and what's happening in the world someone's navigating every day. For families, that means I'm not taking sides — I'm trying to understand how everything fits together.
The people I tend to work best with have one thing in common: they're stubborn. They're not ready to give up, even when things are really hard. If that's you — or your kid — we're probably a good fit.
I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and the kind of stress that doesn't fit neatly into a category. My approach draws on EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, and Collaborative Problem Solving — which is a long way of saying I have a real toolkit, and I use what actually works for the person in front of me.
Rising Resilient Counseling is a small, intentional practice. That's by design.
If any of this is resonating, reach out. First sessions are really just about figuring out if we're a good fit — for you, and for me. You're interviewing me for the position of your therapist. I'm making sure I can actually help. No pressure, no performance. Just an honest conversation.
