Lindsey Nelson, LISW-CP
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
In-Person
About me
I am an experienced clinician who is dedicated to helping my patients and community thrive.
Lindsey Nelson, MSW, LISW-CP is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice with a master’s degree in social work from California University of Pennsylvania, PA. Lindsey is also a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP), a certified ADHD clinical services provider (ADHD-CCSP), and holds a certification in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She completed her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Coastal Carolina University, SC.
Lindsey has over 10 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples; and has been a licensed clinical social worker since 2020. She began her career working with children and families as a therapeutic staff support providing direct services to children (and their caregivers) on the autism spectrum. She went on to work with adolescents and adults in various settings providing interventions such as CBT, behavioral activation techniques, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and grief counseling.
Lindsey believes change happens when people are given the support they need to draw on their own strengths to live fulfilling, happy lives. Lindsey approaches both life and counseling with humor, an open-mind, compassion, and an understanding that there is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach to anything in life.
