About me
I use an integrated holistic approach to working with clients, helping them to become their best self by overcoming blocks due to negative beliefs, anxiety, and depression.
My interest lies in empowering individuals to remove barriers to joy and wellness through discovering insights and helping them to explore their own unique healing journey. I take the perspective of therapy being a partnership, where I am your partner in your healing process, rather than the authority of it. I am a Licensed Professional Therapist, Board Certified Art Therapist, and certified yoga teacher. I am trained in EMDR and art therapy, and draw from Person-Centered, CBT, and DBT theories. Therapy involves reviewing current symptoms, exploring negative beliefs, and learning how past events may still be impacting you in your present day. Therapy can be beneficial to reduce the intensity of symptoms, enhance positive belief systems, and to allow the past to stay in the past. While it can be difficult, it also can produce a beautiful new world.
