About me
I am a licensed therapist who works with youth and adults in learning about and managing impacts of depression, anxiety, and trauma or distressing experiences. I offer trauma focused care, and am invested in supporting my clients create and maintain a healthy and productive life.
Counseling is known as a stepping stone to a more peaceful, meaningful life. It is my honor to work with individuals to pave their pathway to a more fulfilling and satisfying state of being. My professional background includes working with adults, teens, and children to heal trauma wounds, regulate emotions, strengthen self-affirmation, and strengthening independence/ADLs. My passions include trauma healing, mindfulness, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, and play therapy. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities to support individuals in strengthening safety and security within their core self, and connecting to their brighter side of life.
I offer an affirming, judgement-free space to explore challenges and anxieties that individuals endure throughout the course of their development. I am certified in EMDR to support in healing traumatic experiences, and learn to manage impacts of trauma. I utilize play therapy to assist children in emotion literacy, coping, social skills, and safety/security.
I am a dual-state practitioner, serving Virginia and Texas. I offer telehealth for the non-residing state. Please inquire further to see if I am in your state for in-person session options.
