About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with a focus on trauma, specializing in PTSD, CPTSD, and attachment theory. I work with veterans, childhood traumas, depression, and anxiety, etc. Accepting new clients, limited space. Individual therapy, couples therapy. Some evening and weekend appts available. I offer both in person and remote sessions. If you are a loved one of a veteran please reach out. These issues can be difficult to understand and navigate. Trauma effects everyone. I can help you navigate through difficult thoughts and feelings.
I specialize in trauma therapy and use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) as a treatment as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have been working with people since 1991 as a Stephen Minister, I have worked with youth for over 20 years. Most of my experience is with Millennials. I also work with the elderly. Would love to work with you.
I understand trauma from the inside out. As a survivor of CPTSD, I know the thoughts and feelings, the loneliness and isolation that comes with these diagnosis. I get it, been there, done that. If you are ready to move on, let me guide you to a better way of life. You are a survivor and that is something to be proud of, good job! My daughter says I'm "aight" I work a lot with clients experiencing PTSD and/or CPTSD. Trauma affects all of us and the way we see the world. Helping you to overcome the trauma can be a scary process. With EMDR we can desensitize those emotions first and foremost. Then you can reprocess your mind and come to terms with what occurred, without reliving the trauma. Freeing you to live your life to the fullest. As a trauma therapist, I incorporate EMDR and CBT therapy into my practice. I am also a Certified Integrated Attachment Theory Coach. Knowing what your needs are and what your attachment style is, helps you to understand you. Why you do the things you do, why you attract a certain type of person, why you experience life the way you do. Clarity is the goal. Helping you, understand you.
