About me

I am an experience counselor. I work with adults who have significant trauma including symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I believe that clients and counselors partner together to work towards optimum mental health for each client. I believe in client involvement in setting and working towards those goals through a variety of clinical interventions with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Motivational Interviewing and Interpersonal Therapy.

I graduated with a Masters in Professional Counseling from Northwest Christian University in 2009. Training includes specialty training in domestic abuse, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. Since that time, I have practiced in a variety of venues including the prison system, working with groups of men in diversion programs for domestic violence, group practice and in private practice. My work has primarily focused on trauma, PTSD, domestic abuse, sexual trauma, grief, depression and anxiety. In 2018, I started my own private practice, Camas EMDR Therapy and Counseling in Camas, Washington. My specialties include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
