About me
I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is dedicated to serving and assisting my clients to achieve their goals of overcoming challenges they may be facing or simply being in control of life's ups and down.
Throughout my 16-year career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse population, including adults, children, and families facing mental health challenges. My journey has taken me across the United States and to Japan to work with others including civilians and the military.
My professional experience encompasses a wide range of specializations, including:
• Geriatric Mental Health: Providing compassionate care and support to the elderly, addressing their unique mental health needs.
• LGBTQIA2S+ Support: Offering inclusive and affirming care to individuals of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
• Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders: Assisting individuals in managing and overcoming mental health issues and substance use disorders.
• Sexual Trauma: Providing sensitive and empathetic support to survivors of sexual trauma.
• Grief Counseling: Helping individuals navigate the complexities of grief and loss.
• Crisis Counseling: Offering immediate support and intervention during times of crisis.
• Foster Care: Supporting children and families involved in the foster care system.
My approach to mental health care is rooted in the principles of unconditional positive regard, non-judgmental respect, and genuine care for everyone. I believe that establishing a meaningful connection is the cornerstone of effective therapy. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel valued and understood.
I offer prospective clients unconditional positive regard, ensuring that they are accepted and valued without judgment. This approach fosters a sense of trust and safety, allowing clients to explore their thoughts and feelings openly.
I genuinely care about the well-being of my clients. I strive to build strong, empathetic relationships, providing a sense of connection and understanding that is essential for healing and growth.
Life is a journey filled with unpredictability, and we all experience ups and downs along the way. I recognize that seeking help can be a difficult and courageous step. It takes strength to acknowledge the need for support and to take the first step toward healing.
With my extensive experience and compassionate approach, I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families through their mental health journeys. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and work towards a brighter, healthier future.
