About me
I am a pre-licensed Trauma Therapist, dedicated to help adolescents and adults with trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, grief/loss, interpersonal relationship difficulties, couples/marriage, coping skills, those engaged in addiction recovery, and many other presenting concerns. I am a recent graduate of Immaculata University, with a masters in clinical mental health counseling. I am accepting new clients, and I would be honored to be a part of your personal journey!
I have had varied experiences in working with people of all ages and walks of life with substance use disorders, as well as co-current trauma, PTSD, and other experiences of difficulty, including grief and loss. Lincoln places an emphasis on this topic, as he has personally navigated many instances of grief and loss and seeks to be an aid to others who experience this in their lives. In his experience, he has utilized his skills in deep listening, compassion, acceptance, and empathy in building a strong relationship with others, built on trust and a strong collaborative connection. Lincoln strives to create a space of authenticity and safety for clients to ensure they can disclose thoughts and feelings in a current context, to help address thoughts, experiences, and feelings in a supportive, accepting environment. He seeks to employ integrative and creative solutions within collaboration to find and further develop a sense of meaning/purpose, self-awareness, and discovery, while cultivating confidence, enhanced interpersonal relationships, hope, and happiness. Lincoln is always in search of new and fun experiences, which include traveling, cooking, reading, music, and creative writing.
It can be difficult to work through many topics we experience in our lives and collaborating with a counselor can initially be something we are nervous and fearful about. I empathize with these common emotions, and I pledge to make our discussion environment warm, comfortable, and genuine. Trust and deep listening are vital to our counseling relationship, and I will make these the top initial priorities in our discussions. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you, please reach out to schedule time to begin our journey together. I offer flexible times for sessions, which include evenings and weekends.
Lincoln earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Immaculata University. Previously, Lincoln completed his undergraduate degree at West Chester University. He uses an integrative approach that emphasizes client strengths, as well as an emphasis on the present to address and discuss topics of concern to work through together. Lincoln will also seek to use his combination of clinical and life experiences surrounding grief and loss, which is often a source of unresolved pain and trauma in many of our lives. He has participated in intensive EMDR and psychodrama training during his internship, which have expanded skills integrated within treatment to best assist clients with the most up-to-date techniques and treatment modalities. Lincoln will apply EMDR techniques in coordination with aspects of Motivational interviewing, existential/humanistic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within his counseling approach. Lincoln welcomes the opportunity to work with clients from all backgrounds and age groups.
