About me
In my second career and as a Clinical Psychologist I am finally living my values helping people live the life they want to live.
Dr. Darnell is a retired Air Force veteran with more than 20 years in military medicine. Her experiences as a medic developed into a passion for psychology and mental health. After her retirement she began her second career and graduated as a Clinical Psychologist from Nova Southeastern University in 2022. Her studies and training focused on trauma, chronic pain, and sleep/insomnia. She continued working and developing her skills in these areas, as well as many others while working at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs for several years before embarking on her private practice journey. Dr. Darnell is committed to helping individuals meet their specific goals and needs through their own therapeutic journey. She also believes that it is our differences that make us who we are and that we are a stronger and better society for them. Therapy is not about making you “normal” it is about helping you be the person that you want to be and living the best life you can, in the way you want to live it. Dr. Darnell opened Lilac and Raven Psychology LLC to help people along that journey.
