Leo Mora, Ph.D., LMFT-S
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Killeen, TX
Online & In-Person
About me
Dr. Leo Mora provides therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and families and offers, upon request, a faith-based approach to many personal, relevant, and everyday issues. He treats PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and marital conflict. Also, Leo specializes in treating complex combat trauma among active-duty & family members and veterans. He is a U.S. Army expert in PTSD treatment and recovery with an emphasis on eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Dr. Leo Mora is - first and foremost - a family man and, secondly, a Texas-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He and his wife, Wendy, share over 48 years of marriage. They first met in high school just a while ago. Dr. Leo retired from the U. S. Army with nearly 27 years of combined military service with the U. S. Army and Air Force. He possesses a wealth of personal and professional life experience, including performing duty as an F-4 Phantom Crew Chief, serving as an Army combat photojournalist and writer, and later becoming an Army chaplain with tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait as well as in Korea, Hawaii, and Belgium.
Dr. Leo provides therapy and counseling services for individuals, couples, and families and offers, upon request, a faith-based perspective on a vast number of personal, relevant, and contemporary issues of today. He treats depression, anxiety, grief/loss, acute sexual/eating/gambling addictions, and can capably speak to LGBT and ethnic minority issues and concerns. Also, Leo specializes in treating complex combat trauma among active duty and family members and veterans. He is considered an expert in PTSD treatment and recovery by the U. S. Army.
Dr. Leo and Wendy have three married daughters, who have given them six grandsons with two boys apiece, plus a granddaughter. Trevor and Katy, their two miniature Schnauzers, complete the family roster and - in many ways – can act out just like children. (These “kids” at times can be a bit spoiled as well!)
