About me
I help individuals and couples break painful relationship cycles, heal attachment wounds, and rebuild emotional connection. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand: repeating the same conflicts, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, or carrying the impact of past experiences that continue to affect their relationships today.
Many clients seek therapy when they are experiencing:
• Relationship conflict or communication difficulties
• Trauma or distressing past experiences
• PTSD or Complex PTSD
• Anxiety or emotional overwhelm
• Repeating relationship patterns
• Difficulty trusting or feeling safe in relationships
• Disconnection from partners or loved ones
• Challenges related to attachment wounds
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand. You may find yourself repeating the same relationship struggles, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or strong emotions, or carrying the impact of past experiences that continue to affect your daily life. Many people seek therapy for trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, relationship challenges, or attachment wounds that continue to influence how they feel about themselves and how they connect with others.
You might notice that certain situations trigger reactions that feel bigger than the moment, or that communication in your relationships becomes difficult during moments of stress or conflict. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, explore these patterns, and better understand what is happening beneath the surface. With greater awareness and support, it becomes possible to shift these patterns and begin creating healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
I work with individuals and couples who are navigating trauma, attachment wounds, relationship challenges, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties with communication or connection. Many people seek therapy when they feel stuck in painful or confusing patterns, even when they genuinely want things to be different. Together, we work to better understand these experiences and begin creating new ways of responding to yourself and others with greater clarity, compassion, and connection.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed and attachment-focused. I am a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) and work with both individuals and couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps people understand emotional patterns and build more secure, connected relationships.
I specialize in working with attachment wounds, trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD, helping clients understand how past experiences may continue to influence their emotions, sense of self, and relationships today. Trauma can shape how we experience safety, connection, and emotional responses long after the original experiences have passed. Through therapy, we work together to process these experiences, increase emotional awareness, and develop new patterns that support safety, connection, and healing.
For trauma work, I integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain process distressing or traumatic experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming or intrusive. EMDR helps individuals reprocess difficult memories while strengthening internal resources and increasing emotional stability.
For attachment and relationship work, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help individuals and couples understand the emotional patterns that shape their relationships. EFT focuses on creating greater emotional safety and helping people experience new ways of connecting with themselves and with others.
I may also incorporate clinical hypnosis (hypnotherapy) when appropriate. Clinical hypnosis can help deepen emotional awareness, strengthen internal resources, and support the process of change in a focused and collaborative way.
For couples, therapy often focuses on understanding the interaction patterns that lead to conflict, disconnection, or misunderstanding. I help couples understand the painful cycles they can become caught in during moments of conflict or disconnection, and work toward creating new patterns of safety, trust, and emotional connection. Many couples come to therapy because they care deeply about one another but feel stuck in patterns they don’t know how to change.
For individuals, therapy often focuses on understanding how past experiences and attachment patterns influence present-day emotions, relationships, and self-perception. Through this process, clients often develop greater self-compassion, emotional clarity, and the ability to respond differently to situations that previously felt overwhelming.
Many of the individuals and couples I work with are deeply committed to understanding themselves and improving their relationships. They may have tried different ways of addressing their concerns but still feel stuck in patterns that are difficult to shift alone. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore these experiences in a supportive environment while developing new ways of responding that promote healing and connection.
In our work together, I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe exploring difficult experiences and emotions. Therapy is collaborative, and we move at a pace that feels manageable while still supporting meaningful growth and healing. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they navigate this process of understanding, healing, and change.
I provide trauma therapy, EMDR therapy, and couples therapy for individuals and partners in Tennessee through both in-person and telehealth sessions.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and finding the right therapist matters. If you’re considering reaching out, I welcome the opportunity to connect and see whether working together feels like a good fit. It is truly an honor to walk alongside my clients as they navigate the process of healing, understanding, and creating more meaningful connection in their lives.
