About me
Compassionate, Experienced Therapist Helping You Heal, Grow, and Unlock Your Potential Within
Hello, I’m LeeShawn L. Brown, MSW, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My mission is to create a safe, affirming, and supportive space for individuals to explore challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I work with adults and adolescents (ages 14 and up) and welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and older adults/geriatric populations. I value cultural humility and strive to ensure each client feels seen, respected, and understood.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs. I am trained in and integrate several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. Whether you are working through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or stress related to work, family, or health, we will work together to identify goals and develop practical tools to support your healing and growth.
My goal is to help you feel empowered, increase emotional insight, and strengthen your ability to navigate life with confidence and clarity. I believe in your capacity for change and would be honored to partner with you on your journey toward wellness and fulfillment.
