About me
I am a Trauma Focused therapist who specializes in individuals who struggle with eating disorders and complex trauma. I utilize experiential therapies including somatic therapy, bio & neurofeedback framed in the non pathologizing lens of Internal Family systems.
At Brave Embers Wellness, we examine with curiosity and compassion the survival skills we engage in and use a gentle approach to create subtle shifts moving towards treatment goals. This helps us not feel overwhelmed and create a chance at lasting change while rewiring our brain towards an internal dialogue of self-compassion and grace. In session, Lauren focuses initially on grounding and resilience-building skills. These interventions include art, music or video clips depending on what resonates with client interests and needs. With the addition of somatic interventions, we support clients to believe that overtime they can connect with their bodies and feel more present in their day-to-day lives.
