About me
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist matters. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe being honest about what you are experiencing. I am a licensed mental health counselor with more than 18 years of experience supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family concerns, life transitions, and healthy communication. My advanced training includes EMDR, clinical trauma treatment, The Gottmans' Method couples therapy, restorative practices, Women-Centered ADHD and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood!
I bring warmth, authenticity, compassion, and gentle humor into the counseling relationship. I believe therapy should be a place where you can exhale, feel genuinely understood, and talk honestly about the parts of life that may feel painful, complicated, or difficult to explain.
My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and strengths-based approach. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, family concerns, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and challenges with communication or boundaries. I also support individuals who are exploring questions of identity, purpose, faith, spiritual harm, or changing beliefs. When desired by the client, I am comfortable thoughtfully incorporating faith into therapy. I also welcome clients who prefer a secular approach.
I draw from EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, cognitive behavioral approaches, clinical trauma treatment, and Gottman Method principles for couples. Rather than using the same formula with every client, I tailor therapy to your individual needs, experiences, values, and goals. Our work may include processing past experiences, identifying patterns, understanding emotional triggers, developing healthier coping strategies, strengthening communication, establishing boundaries, or reconnecting with a more authentic sense of self.
I offer prospective adult clients (18 years old and older), a supportive space that balances compassion with meaningful growth. I will meet you without judgment, honor the courage it takes to seek help, and gently challenge the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start exactly where you are and work together toward greater healing, clarity, confidence, and connection.
