About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals who are navigating addiction recovery, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside individuals during some of the most difficult or vulnerable times in their lives. Finding hope and developing healthier coping skills for the future is the primary goal. I am also a Certified Anger Management Specialist in the state of Alabama.
My personal and professional experience has given me a complex understanding of the relationship between addiction and the emotional/psychological challenges that often accompany it. I do not believe that I have all the answers nor do I believe that therapy is about telling you what you should or should not do. Instead, my role is to listen without judgment, help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and provide tools and support to make meaningful changes. Healing does not mean that life will never to difficult again; It means learning how to navigate difficult experiences without allowing them to define your future.
Whether you are struggling with addiction recovery, unresolved trauma, grief including caregiver burn-out, or simply feel stuck in your current circumstances, together, we can identify what is holding you back and build on the strengths you already possess.
This is my calling, and I would be honored to work with you. I look forward to helping you discover not only how to get through the difficult times in life, but how to build a life that feels meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling.
