About me
Grounded in extensive, trauma-informed experience, I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and long-standing patterns that affect how they feel and function day to day.
I am a licensed, trauma-informed therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and long-standing emotional patterns, bringing a grounded, steady presence to the work.
My approach is integrative and thoughtful, with a focus on helping clients develop greater emotional stability, self-understanding, and capacity for lasting change.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, high-functioning adults who have spent years managing symptoms or “holding it together,” yet still feel stuck in familiar emotional, relational, or physiological patterns. Others come to therapy after realizing that insight alone hasn’t brought the relief or integration they were hoping for. My role is to help clients move beyond surface-level coping and into deeper, more sustainable change.
I draw from a range of evidence-based and experiential approaches, including EMDR, hypnosis, trauma-informed therapy, and mind–body approaches. Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor therapy to each individual, integrating approaches thoughtfully and at a pace that supports safety and nervous system regulation. Sessions are collaborative, focused, and responsive to what is most relevant in the moment.
A central part of my work involves understanding how past experiences—particularly unresolved stress or trauma—continue to shape present-day emotional responses, beliefs, and patterns of functioning. Therapy often includes working with both cognitive insight and the body’s responses, helping clients develop greater awareness, regulation, and flexibility over time.
Clients often describe my style as calm, engaged, and attuned. I place importance on creating a therapeutic relationship that feels steady and respectful, where difficult material can be explored without feeling rushed or overwhelming. Humor, curiosity, and practicality are welcome parts of the process when appropriate.
I work best with individuals who are ready to engage in therapy thoughtfully and are interested in understanding themselves more deeply—not only to reduce symptoms, but to create meaningful and lasting change. I offer both in-person sessions in Charleston and telehealth services throughout South Carolina.
