About me
Hi! I’m Kristy Hansen, founder of Front Row Therapy, and I’m truly glad you’re here. I value authenticity in every setting—especially in how I show up for my clients and my work. I’m often described as real, welcoming, and colorful, and I sometimes joke that I’m a bit of a unicorn.
My therapeutic approach feels like a conversation in a comfortable living room: two people talking openly about experiences, challenges, and opportunities to process life as it unfolds. Life brings both triumphs and heartaches, and in our work together, there is space for all of it. We honor your wins while gently exploring your losses with compassion, presence, and nonjudgment.
I specialize in working with anxiety, PTSD, relationships, depression, and stress, offering a supportive space where growth is respected and progress is honored.
In my own mental health journey, I work intentionally to remain authentic and connected to the people in my theatre. I continue learning how to express myself with comfort, honesty, and acceptance. I enjoy bringing humor into the room—sometimes to lighten the heavy moments, sometimes simply to breathe.
I believe deeply in therapy: in the work I do for myself and in the work I am honored to do with clients. I've been married for 22 years—an evolving journey of growth, learning, and continually practicing open, honest communication. I'm also a mom to two boys, one in college and one in high school, and I share my home with two dogs, Bella and Polly. I love bright colors, and yes… I'm absolutely a Hello Kitty fan. I also enjoy music, art, and movies—creative elements that bring energy and inspiration to my life.
This is a small glimpse behind the curtain of who I am, both as a person and as a therapist. When you step into therapy with me, you'll find authenticity, acceptance, and a genuine connection as we explore the next act of your story together.
