About me
I am a compassionate and curious psychologist who walks alongside adults navigating stressors such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, burnout and life transitions.
I have particular expertise supporting international and cross-cultural workers, helping them to navigate cross-cultural identity and adjustment, burnout and interpersonal challenges. I’m passionate about caring for adult Third Culture Kids (TCKs) or anyone who navigated multiple cultures during their childhood. I also have a special interest in working with people struggling with infertility and pregnancy loss.
I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Rosemead School of Psychology in California. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a wide range of settings—including university counseling centers, an international school, an international faith-based organization, and an intensive outpatient counseling program. These experiences have shaped my heart for walking alongside individuals navigating cross-cultural experiences, ministry life, and the challenges of everyday living.
I utilize a variety of therapy approaches, including but not limited to acceptance and commitment therapy, emotion focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also utilize holistic approaches such as spiritual integration and mindfulness. For clients who desire to include their Christian faith in their counseling journey, I have specialized training and experience in integrating Christian theology and psychological science.
My hope is that you’ll experience me as warm, curious, and respectful, and find the courage to make space for your authentic self. I see counseling as a collaborative process—together, we’ll explore your life story, uncover some of the roots of your suffering, and offer compassion to the parts of yourself you wish you could change.
I’m authorized to provide telepsychology to clients located in many U.S. states through the PSYPACT Commission. In some cases I may also be able to work with clients living outside the U.S as well.
Outside of my work as a psychologist, I love slowing down with a cup of tea, getting creative through crafting, spending time in my garden, and reading novels. At home, I’m grateful to share life with my husband and our two wonderful children.
If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to reach out and schedule a free consultation. This gives us a chance to connect, ask questions, and see together whether I might be a good fit to walk alongside you on your personal growth journey.
