About me
Licensed Therapist Supporting Adults with Chronic Illness, History of Trauma, and Life Transitions.
Supporting You Through Life's Challenges
Welcome! Are you facing a chronic illness, navigating a life transition, or experiencing emotional distress? I'm here to offer support and guide you towards healing and well-being.
My Experience:
Over 11 years of experience with current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor (LCSW-S) in the Texas Medical Center's ICU settings, specializing in areas like solid organ transplant, LVAD support, end-stage organ failure, and palliative care.
Passionate about chronic illness: I've facilitated trauma-informed support groups with a focus on building coping mechanisms for managing chronic health conditions.
Committed to growth: I actively pursue ongoing professional development, currently training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing. I also hold a certification in trauma-informed care and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
My Approach:
Trauma-informed care: My approach recognizes the impact of past experiences and seeks to create a safe space for healing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): We can work together to identify unhelpful thoughts and develop coping skills to manage negative emotions.
Grief work: Coping with loss can be a difficult journey. I can provide support and guidance as you navigate grief and move forward.
Client-centered collaboration: I believe the client is the expert on their own experience. My role is to be a supportive guide, facilitating your journey towards self-discovery and healing. The "homework" you complete outside of sessions allows us to delve as deeply as you're ready and able.
Telehealth: Telehealth sessions offer flexibility and convenience to access therapy from the comfort of your own home.
