I am an experienced therapist committed to compassionately helping adults cope with chronic illness, grief & loss, anxiety and trauma.

After a long and incredibly fulfilling career in oncology social work, I have retired from the medical field choosing instead to transfer all I have learned into the more personal setting of private practice. This has allowed me the wonderful opportunity to really lean in and focus completely on the one-to-one support I had always been so passionate about but rarely had the time to pursue in the hospital.

Presently my practice is fully remote. I am collaborative, interactive and always open to feedback as we take this journey together. My role is to hold space for you, creating an atmosphere of unconditional support and safety so that, together, we can explore the challenges you are facing. I tend to do this by devoting our first several sessions to getting to know you so that we can work together on a treatment plan that is meaningful for your goals and expectations in therapy.

As far as my clinical approaches, I draw a great deal of inspiration from meaning-centered psychotherapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and self-compassion approaches. Although not exclusively a cognitive therapist, I do tend to lean deeply into many of the concepts/components of cognitive behavioral therapy believing that there can be great value and healing in understanding the ways we think and the ways in which our thinking impacts our emotions and behaviors. n
