About me
I work with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or caught in patterns they are ready to change. My approach is practical, direct, and supportive, with a focus on helping clients understand what is happening, build useful coping skills, and make meaningful changes in everyday life.
Therapy does not have to feel overly clinical, scripted, or like you are being told how you should feel. I believe people benefit most from having a space where they can be honest, feel understood, and also be challenged when needed.
I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional overload, difficulty regulating emotions, relationship or family concerns, substance use, life transitions, and patterns that continue to interfere with the life they want. I also have extensive experience working with adolescents who may be resistant to therapy, have difficulty trusting adults, struggle with impulsive decisions, or are attending counseling because someone else believes they need it.
My style is conversational, straightforward, and collaborative. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused strategies, but I do not believe therapy should feel like working through a textbook. We will focus on understanding the patterns behind what is happening and finding strategies that actually make sense in your life.
I am licensed to provide counseling in both Texas and Arizona and offer online therapy.
