About me
**You don't have to have everything figured out before you reach out for help.**
I'm Kirsten Hughes, a therapist with a decade of experience helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, stress, difficult emotions, and the moments in life when everything just feels like too much.
Maybe you're exhausted from holding everything together. Maybe something happened that you can't seem to move past. Maybe you're struggling with anger, relationships, self-worth, or simply trying to figure out what comes next. Or maybe you've been telling everyone you're fine when you're really not. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to face it alone.
My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest—even when the truth is messy, uncomfortable, or difficult to say out loud. I'll meet you where you are, without judgment, and we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you.
I have particular experience working with trauma, LGBTQ+ clients, young adults navigating life transitions, and people coping with chronic pain or illness-related challenges. I'm committed to creating an affirming, inclusive space where you can feel safe being your authentic self.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. You don't have to know exactly what you need or have the right words to explain it. **You just have to be willing to start.**
If you're ready, I'm here to listen.
