About me

I am a trauma-informed counselor specializing in emotional regulation, helping adolescents and young adults manage anxiety, depression, and complex challenges.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Trauma Professional with 19 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, and families. Much of my work has been in school-based and community settings, supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to manage their emotions. I have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, substance use, and complex behavioral and emotional needs.

I take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to therapy. I believe that building a genuine, trusting relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. From there, I integrate evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and A-CRA to help clients develop practical skills they can use in their daily lives.

My goal is to help clients improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and increase overall functioning. I focus on helping individuals not only understand what they are experiencing, but also learn how to respond differently—so they can feel more in control, confident, and capable.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel heard and respected. Whether you are navigating a specific challenge or feeling generally overwhelmed, we can work together to build the skills and insight needed for lasting change.
