About me
I am a PA licensed professional counselor dedicated to helping children, adolescents, adults, and aging adults on their mental health wellness journey.
Kia Medley-Stephens is a masters-level psychotherapist, behavior therapist, and PA-licensed professional counselor specializing in treating children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University in 2015 and became a nationally certified counselor with the National Board-Certified Counselors. An avid learner, Kia takes continuing education courses to ensure the delivery of evidence-based practices to individuals served.
For more than 25 years, Kia has served the child and adolescent population in one capacity or another. She worked as a counselor to adjudicated youth residing in residential therapeutic programs. Kia counseled adults diagnosed with chronic mental health disorders and aided in their transition from hospitals to group homes to independent living in the community. Kia transitioned back to serving youth by working with children in the PA foster care system. She served as a clinical director in community behavioral, facilitated social-emotional group therapy services to the child and adolescent autistic population, and provided individual counseling services to individuals across the lifespan.
Kia is currently accepting clients of all ages with availability for 60-minute virtual therapy sessions Monday through Wednesday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Thursday through Friday from 10 am to 8 pm.
