About me
I am a licensed therapist and somatic wellness practitioner who dedicated to helping adults heal through integrative mind‑body therapy.
I’m Keyayanna Rei (Key-Ya-Na Ray), a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina, Somatic Wellness Coach, and Wellness Practitioner with Ashakti Wellness & Yoga. My work is rooted in the belief that healing is most powerful when it honors the whole person (mind, body, spirit, and lived experience). I support clients who are ready to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and cultivate meaningful change through an integrative, culturally aware, and compassion‑centered therapeutic process.
My approach blends evidence‑based therapy with mind‑body practices that help clients understand their internal world while building practical tools for everyday life. I draw from cognitive and mindfulness‑based modalities, somatic awareness, narrative exploration, solution‑focused strategies, and existential inquiry. These approaches help clients deepen insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop clarity around the patterns shaping their relationships, choices, and wellbeing.
For clients who feel aligned with holistic modalities, I offer psychotherapeutic Reiki, guided imagery, sound‑based grounding, aromatherapy, and chakra‑informed practices. These tools are always optional and tailored to your comfort level. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you feel safe to explore what healing looks like for you—whether that’s cognitive reframing, somatic grounding, spiritual integration, or simply having a space where you can breathe and be fully seen.
I specialize in supporting adults navigating stress, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, motivation, self‑esteem, and the ongoing work of personal growth. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by life transitions, or unsure how to move forward. Together, we work to rebuild internal alignment, strengthen resilience, and cultivate a deeper sense of self‑trust.
My background as a regional flight attendant informs a special focus within my practice: the mental health needs of aviation professionals. I understand firsthand the emotional labor, irregular schedules, chronic fatigue, and high‑pressure environments faced by pilots, flight attendants, and ground crew. This lived experience allows me to support aviation clients with nuance, empathy, and a deep awareness of the unique challenges within the industry.
Across all my work, I prioritize cultural awareness, embodied healing, and a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity and care. I believe healing is not about perfection but about returning to yourself, honoring your truth, and creating space for growth that feels sustainable and aligned. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to helping you build a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and reflective of who you are becoming.
Whether you’re seeking clarity, emotional stability, deeper self‑connection, or support through a challenging season, I’m here to help you navigate your healing journey with intention and support. Therapy with me is collaborative, gentle, and rooted in the understanding that you are the expert of your own experience. Together, we’ll create a path forward that honors your story, your strengths, and your capacity to heal.
