About me

I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing thoughtful, personalized care for ADHD, anxiety, depression, and related concerns.

Mental health care should feel thoughtful, personal, and practical, not rushed, confusing, or one-size-fits-all.

I am Kevin Lazar, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and the founder of Wellness RX. I provide telehealth psychiatric care for children ages 8 and older, teens, college students, and adults who are navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, sleep concerns, and other challenges that can make everyday life feel harder than it should.

Many of the people I work with are doing their best to keep up with school, work, relationships, parenting, or daily responsibilities while quietly feeling overwhelmed, distracted, unmotivated, or emotionally drained. Some are seeking mental health care for the first time. Others have tried treatment before but still feel like something is missing. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, talking honestly about what is going on, and leaving each visit with a clear plan.

My approach is collaborative, straightforward, and centered around your goals. I do not believe in simply checking boxes or handing out prescriptions without explanation. We will take time to understand how your symptoms are affecting your life, discuss treatment options in plain language, and decide together what makes the most sense. When medication may be helpful, we will talk openly about potential benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives so that you can make an informed decision.

I especially enjoy working with people who are trying to better understand themselves. Maybe you have always struggled with procrastination, organization, forgetfulness, or staying focused. Maybe anxiety is constantly running in the background, making it difficult to relax or feel present. Maybe you feel exhausted, disconnected, or unlike yourself and are ready to take the next step toward feeling better. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

My background in nursing, mental health care, and patient education has shaped how I practice. I believe that understanding your treatment matters. I want you to know why we are considering a particular option, what to expect, and what progress may realistically look like. My role is not to tell you what you “should” do. It is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, provide guidance, and help you build a treatment plan that feels realistic for your life.

I also understand that mental health concerns do not exist in isolation. They can affect relationships, confidence, school performance, job satisfaction, motivation, and family life. As a husband and father, I appreciate how important it is to find care that feels supportive, respectful, and easy to access. Telehealth allows us to meet from the comfort of your own space while still creating a meaningful and personalized connection.

At Wellness RX, my goal is simple: to help you feel heard, understand your options, and move forward with a clear path. Whether you are starting treatment for the first time, returning to care after a difficult experience, or looking for a provider who will take the time to truly listen, you are welcome here.
