About me
I am a mental health therapist and clinical social worker who works with adults, adolescents, and couples. I am compassionate and honest with all my clients.
I began my career in child protection where I have worked with children, adolescents and adults, encountering a broad variety of client life stressors. In recent years I have gone into private practice; I see individuals (ages 15 and up), couples, and family groups. I favor a cognitive-behavioral approach and always looks for new ways to be of value to my clients. I am experienced with a variety of client issues including trauma, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and personality disorders. I appreciate the diversity of my clients and the variety of problems they bring to my office. I listen to my clients' stories; I am sympathetic and nonjudgmental. Whether short-term or long-term, I look for patterns in my clients' perceptions and I help them lay aside feelings of guilt, to set boundaries and improve interpersonal communication.
