About me

Are you a woman or mom going through a difficult life transition? Does your pain from past experiences interfere with you having a fulfilling life or being the healthiest you? Is your teen or child struggling with school or having trouble with peers or low self-esteem and anxiety? Start the healing process today and discover how A Better Tomorrow can began sooner than you think!
Some of my specializations include: women’s mental and physical wellness and life transitions, child and adolescent issues including anxiety, depression, adhd, and adjusting to the transitions in their lives.
I believe each person brings their own unique set of values, beliefs, strengths, struggles, and emotions to the therapy process. Providing a safe, non-judgmental environment, empowering you with the skills and knowledge you need to enjoy your relationships and lead a more fulfilling life is my goal as your therapist.

I began my work as a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1997. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children, teens, adults, and families in order to help them navigate through difficult times and circumstances in their lives. I obtained my Masters Degree in Counselor Education from the University of North Texas. I have been married since 1994 and have been blessed with two daughters who are college age.

I specialize in helping children and teens work through difficulties that hinder them from living a healthy, stable, and well-adjusted life. As parents, we long for our children to encounter their world with confidence and an ease so that they can grow, thrive, and become their healthiest adult versions. There is a surmounting pressure in our society that is taking a great toll on our kids and teens.

Some of my specializations include: school related problems such as learning or behavior challenges, peer and social difficulties, bullying, stress management, anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, self-harm, trauma, grief/loss, divorce and blended family issues. I also am able to provide evaluations and screenings for ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression, and other mood disorders in youth. In working with kids and teens, I find it especially important to take a collaborative approach in working with the parents, family, pediatrician, school counselors and teachers to create an environment that expedites the treatment plan to educate and equip your child or teen to communicate their thoughts, feelings and emotions in helpful ways giving them a valuable opportunity to better process and adjust to the world around them

I also specialize in working with women and moms of all ages who are juggling motherhood, marriage and work or are going through difficult life transitions or seem to be “stuck” or unsure of their life path. All these things can bring about stress, anxiety and depression. I enjoy helping women overcome and learn how to control and manage the overwhelming thoughts and feelings that go along with all these roles in and stages in their lives.
