About me
I am a trauma‑informed social work clinician dedicated to empowering individuals and families to overcome anxiety, depression, addiction, and relationship challenges through goal‑focused, skill‑building therapy.
I’m Kendra H. Wagner, a Master of Social Work candidate (graduating May 2026) whose practice is built on trauma‑informed, strengths‑based care. From case‑management at a free clinic and addictions counseling internships to crisis de‑escalation for a statewide helpline, I’ve learned how to turn empathy into concrete action. I combine evidence‑based CBT and DBT with recovery‑focused interventions and clear psycho‑education, delivering a solution‑oriented, goal‑driven therapy that gives you usable skills—not just conversation. Sessions are offered in‑person or via secure video, always in a warm, culturally respectful space.
My ideal client is someone weighed down by anxiety, depression, trauma, substance‑use challenges, or relationship strain—whether an adult, teen, or young adult—who wants more than a listening ear. They need a therapist who respects their cultural background, helps them set clear, achievable objectives, and provides practical tools to reduce distress, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen connections. Their goal is to move from feeling stuck to experiencing measurable progress and greater confidence in daily life.
I specialize in trauma‑informed CBT and DBT, supplemented by addiction‑recovery frameworks and targeted psycho‑education. Each session is purposefully structured: we define specific goals, practice coping and regulation techniques, and track outcomes so you can see real improvement. I offer individual therapy focused on skill‑building, brief family or couples work when relational dynamics matter, and rapid, strengths‑based crisis support when urgency arises. My case‑management background also connects you to community resources—housing, medical care, support groups—ensuring you have the external supports you need. Together we’ll convert insight into actionable steps, fostering lasting resilience, clarity, and a healthier future.
