About me

Hi, I’m Kelli, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and Indiana and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) in Indiana. I have more than 13 years of professional experience as a therapist, along with many additional years working in the mental health and substance use treatment fields.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families in a variety of settings, including acute and long-term psychiatric care, adolescent residential treatment, outpatient community mental health, and inpatient and outpatient dual-diagnosis treatment. These experiences have given me the opportunity to support people through some of life’s most challenging moments and have shaped my belief that healing begins with feeling safe, heard, understood, and respected.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and my Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of St. Francis, with concentrations in addiction and mental health counseling. I also completed post-master’s graduate studies in Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and earned a post-master’s certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Adler Graduate School in 2023.
A significant part of my professional experience has focused on addiction and the impact substance use can have on individuals and their families. I understand that addiction can affect every area of a person’s life and often brings complicated emotions, relationship challenges, grief, and significant life consequences. I strive to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore these experiences and begin moving toward meaningful change.
My areas of clinical focus include addiction and substance use, anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, grief, and risk assessment. I believe that every person is the expert in their own life. My role is not to tell you who you should be, but to walk alongside you, help you gain insight into your experiences, identify your strengths and values, and support you in creating the life you want.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, compassion, collaboration, and zero judgment. I draw from several evidence-based and person-centered approaches, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Adlerian Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I tailor therapy to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can determine what feels most helpful based on your goals, needs, strengths, and readiness for change.
I also believe deeply in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment is central to my work. Whether you are struggling with a difficult situation, navigating a major life transition, working through grief, managing anxiety or depression, addressing substance use, or simply need a safe place to process what you have been experiencing, you do not have to navigate it alone.
Outside of my professional life, I am a lifelong equestrian and animal lover. I enjoy equestrian sports, cycling, hiking, going to the gym, reading, and spending time with my family. My connection with horses and animals has given me a firsthand appreciation for the comfort, connection, and therapeutic benefits they can provide. I believe there is something powerful about the relationships we form with animals and the sense of safety and connection they can offer.
You are the expert in your own life. I am here to offer support, hope, guidance, and a safe space to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and move toward becoming the person you want to be. Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome here—without judgment and with hope for what comes next.
