About me
I am an experienced clinical mental health therapist who specializes in trauma-informed care who strives to help people deal with everyday issues of life
I am an experienced licensed clinical mental health therapist who specializes in trauma-informed care. I see individuals, children aged 4 and over, and families, but not couples. I treat a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety and depression. My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavior Therapy but I use tools from other theories as well. I am certified in Neurofeedback, a nonintrusive adjunct therapy, to help the brain normalize functioning. This therapy is evidence-based for ADHD and PTSD treatment and has been found helpful in other conditions as well. I operate out of two offices: Newport News, VA, and Williamsburg, VA for a community non-profit agency and I take most insurance.
