About me
My ideal clients are often desiring a release of trauma and are the type that may go quiet in session. They are high functioning adults, often neurodivergent, suffering from the long term effects of holding tension like burnout and trauma in their nervous system their whole lives. I work with men and women, but have recently seen more women in their 40/50/60s, navigating peri/menopause. I treat performance anxiety, OCD, CPTSD, perimenopause, relationship issues, and phobias. Since it’s sensation focused, a lot of our work is exposure to scary feelings, they’ve been avoiding. My clients do minimum 2 hour intensives, so they have to be a level of bought in, that weekly clients struggle to find.
I've been working as a therapist for about 4 years now, licensed since 2025. Most of my hours were done through and EMDR trauma center in California, where I saw difficult cases and was often assigned the harder cases due to my older age (middle aged over here) and being a mother and partner of over 14 years. I found that my age has been an incredible asset to women and men who are working through difficult and high conflict relationship issues, especially when they are in 40s, 50s, and 60s. I have a once a month or twice a month flow to my practice where we meet for 2-6 hours, based on need.
My background is in design, art, and I am married to a professional musician (multi-racial relationship with mixed children). Which means I navigate many identities; beauty and story inform my work. I find that therapy is incredibly creative, and I use my even keeled balanced nervous system to let my clients "borrow" from my nervous system when we do in person therapy in Escondido or Del Mar. I work out to two offices, spanning north county San Diego.
I am a curious and life-long learner. I am pursuing multiple certifications to best serve you including EMDR certification (not necessary for practice, but great for learning deeper trauma healing skills), Relational Life Therapy certification (not necessary to practice, but helpful for high conflict couples on the road to divorce and unfair fighting fixes), and I have just finished OCD/Phobias in ERP/EMDR therapy which has been having incredible outcomes in session. I have attended additional trainings in Women's Hormones in Mental Health, and have a Somatic EMDR consultant if I ever get stuck.
Lastly, if you're a person who is ready to change, and talk therapy doesn't do it for you (this is me and why I moved to trauma therapies), we are likely a match. I have a belief that if you're ready to change or are in a transition and find me, we are meant to work together. I have had the absolute priveledge to guide people out of suicidal and crisis seasons and into seasons of abundance and gratefulness. If this sounds like you, reach out.
California only, Couples can do online, Somatic EMDR is in person only please.
