About me
I am an experienced licensed professional clinical counselor who is dedicated to helping individuals on their journey of growth and healing.
Kelli Hood is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, as well as a National Certified Counselor. In addition, she is an Internationally Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional-Diplomate. Kelli earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Centre College in 2000 and went on to complete a master’s degree in counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. She brings over twenty years of experience in the fields of mental health and substance use disorders from a variety of settings working with adults and adolescents.
Kelli works with individuals 16 and older with various concerns including anxiety, stress management, mood, substance abuse, grief, trauma, stage of life issues, and relationship concerns. Kelli incorporates evidence-based practices and interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered approach, as well as a faith-based Christian approach when desired by clients. In addition, she is currently pursuing certification to integrate nutrition as an intervention to help with mental health symptoms. Whatever the approach, Kelli wants to use compassion to empower her clients on their journey toward healing and growth.
