About me

Hi There! I've been a psychotherapist for thirty years and help couples, adults & teens struggling with anxiety, trauma, PTSD, or relationship stressors. I currently see clients in my Georgetown office and offer online therapy for anyone in Texas or Virginia. We'll use practical tools so you can notice you begin to feel better sooner and later.

I've been fortunate to spend the last 30 years helping incredible individuals overcome challenges to experience a more fulfilling life. My work with victims of sexual abuse, sexual trauma, violence, child abuse, relationship issues, anxiety, phobias, and depression, along with a range of other concerns, has shown me how the most profound pain can be healed when it's given a voice with a caring professional who is also skilled in using evidence-based therapy techniques such as CBT, EFT, EMDR, DBT, and Hypnotherapy.

Do you feel like life is hard right now? Life can be challenging and unmanageable at times. You may have experienced several events that have made your life overwhelming and unmanageable. Perhaps you've always felt overwhelmed. You may feel detached from life, impacting how you relate to yourself and others. Maybe you're full of sadness, anxiety, or full of rage. Perhaps you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Maybe you are tired of not being able to communicate effectively with your partner. Have you lost those loving feelings? I'm here to help.
Perhaps you're almost ready to give up on having the life you want, but there is a part of you that tells you that things can be better. Listen to that inner voice because life can be better. I'm here to help you remold your hurt, sorrow, and suffering so you can feel a sense of freedom, internal peace, and empowerment.

It doesn't matter how many times you fall as long as you keep getting back up. You have a lot of courage to ask for help. You don't have to do this by yourself anymore. I'm here to help you transform your unhelpful beliefs and behaviors so you can have the life you want and deserve.

You may feel like you're not good enough, and the voice in your head quickly reminds you of all the ways you are falling short in different areas of your life. Have you ever thought, "I'm not worthy," "I'm not pretty enough," "I'm not smart enough," "I'm not the right size," "They won't want to be my friend," "I better smile so they will accept me," "If they knew who I was they wouldn't like me," "I've got to be perfect to be loved and accepted?" It might even feel like you're just spinning in circles.

Do you want to dive deep into your mind and get to the root cause of your current triggers? Triggers are known or unknown things not in your awareness that almost instantly cause you to feel and act in ways you don't want to. We can create different kinds of "triggers" so you immediately feel calm, relaxed, and productive when you make a specific gesture.

We can work together so you can become very good at changing your feeling state from an unhelpful one (such as anxiety or worry) to a helpful one (such as calm or happiness). Would that be beneficial in your life?

Do you want tools in your mental toolbox to help you? Let's work together as a team to focus on your specific therapeutic goals. We'll measure your successes at every step to ensure you get the desired results.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute video consultation to meet each other and decide if we're a good fit.
