About me
As a mental health therapist, I am deeply committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress and trauma. I believe in a collaborative, client-centered approach, tailoring my interventions to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. My practice is guided by principles of empathy, respect, ethical integrity and cultural competence and humility, ensuring that clients feel heard, understood and valued.
I’m Keisha, the founder and creator of Haus of Seraphim Therapeutic Services. I'm a licensed professional counselor (Texas #80669 and Illinois #178021377) here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult challenges. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and tailor therapy sessions to meet their needs.
I have worked with pre-teens, teenagers, and adults from diverse backgrounds for almost 25 years. I bring a wealth of experience into the therapy room, including, prior to becoming a counselor, many years in the field of education as a classroom teacher and school counselor and in the field of Criminal Justice. I utilize research-based psychotherapy methods to instill self-understanding and to support clients to adopt healthy attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors -- all within a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. I provide virtual therapy services throughout Texas and Illinois. From small scale circumstances to traumatic experiences - my services are personalized to suit each person's unique needs. I utilize a customized and strength-based approach, eclectic in nature, that integrates the following types of therapies:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness-Based
Person-Centered Therapy
Solution-focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Being with people on their healing journeys is my passion and life's work.
