About me
I am an experienced psychotherapist currently working in the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. My mission is to empower others to recognize the ways in which they can draw upon inner strengths to heal, while also recognizing that one does not have to do so alone without the support from others. I strive to assist individuals in learning healthy ways to better manage their presenting challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience providing individual and group psychotherapy. I received my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I am a Certified Mental Health Addictions Informed Professional (CAIMHP) and received this specialty training and certification through the International Trauma Training Institute. Prior to joining CNV Detox treatment center, where I currently work as a psychotherapist, I worked in community mental health where I specialized in treating individuals with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar disorder, Generalized anxiety disorder, complex trauma, and co-occurring diagnoses. I have experience working with a variety of age groups from transition aged youth (16+) to older adults. I utilize a holistic and strengths-based approach to treatment and am deeply committed to supporting individuals in their recovery process. Some of the treatment modalities that I utilize to support individuals in healing and approaching their life challenges include Psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Art Therapy Exercises.
