About me
In person counseling for children, teens and adults in the New River Valley!
My approach to counseling is warm, empathetic, encouraging, eclectic, collaborative and holistic. I am a graduate from Liberty University, with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Christian Counseling. I am also trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). There are times in our lives that we just need someone caring to sit down and listen to us, no distractions, no excuses, no defensiveness…just listen to what is weighing down our heart and mind. Grief, loss, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, anger are all feelings that tend to make us feel alone. Whether you are a child or an adult feeling this way, you do not have to face these feelings alone. I enjoy creating a safe space for those who need a caring listening ear and genuine, empathetic feedback. Building a trusting, consistent relationship with my clients is important to me.
I find it a privilege to walk along side my clients and work together toward better mental health and healing. My office is located on the 2nd floor of a 1920's Craftsman home that has been renovated into offices. The setting is cozy and welcoming. When you enter you will be greeted by my receptionist Ellie at the front desk. I look forward to meeting you!
