About me
Hi! My name is Katrin, and I specialize in helping people with bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, borderline personality disorder, and trauma/PTSD. I’ve received advanced training in approaches that only a few clinicians practice, and as a published researcher, I stay current on the most effective, evidence-based strategies to guide my clients.
I create a space where empathy, trust, and even a touch of humor make it safe to explore life’s hardest challenges. My goal is to help you heal, reclaim your strengths, and fully experience all that life has to offer. No matter what you’re facing, I bring hope, guidance, and support.
I look forward to working with you.
I have over 10 years of experience working in residential mental health care and transitional-age youth programs, supporting clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. For the past 8 years, I have focused on bipolar disorder research, which allows me to bring the most up-to-date, evidence-based strategies directly into my practice. I am committed to continued education to ensure my clients receive the most effective care possible.
I believe it’s vital to work with a clinician who understands both the neurobiology of complex mental health disorders and the treatment modalities proven to be most effective. This knowledge, combined with empathy and understanding, helps clients achieve better outcomes.
My approach is collaborative: I create a safe space where you can open up without fear of judgment. I view therapy as a partnership, not a brick wall, and I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance so you can trust the process and share the parts of your life that are most important to your healing and growth.
I understand how important it is to “click” with your therapist. I promise to work on building the connection necessary for your success, and if our styles don’t align, I will help you find a more suitable clinician and support you in scheduling your first appointment.
When you work with me, we are a team. You don’t have to face your struggles alone. I provide my work number so you can reach out during the day, and I will return your call by 10 pm for a brief check-in if needed. I am here to guide, support, and walk alongside you every step of the way.
