About me
I am committed to helping all children and adolescents learn how to build healthier relationships within their lives. I strives for clients to gain a better understanding of their personal strengths and abilities to help increase their confidence in healthy and effective relationships. My therapeutic style is personal, interactive and collaborative.
I graduated from Penn State University in 2009 with my undergraduate in education. Immediately after graduating, I continued on to my master’s degree and received a master’s degree from Holy Family University in counseling psychology. From there, I started my own business and ran that for 11 years. In 2021 I decided to take some time off and stay at home with my children until they were in school. In early 2024, I came back to the field and have been actively practicing clinical therapy at a private practice.
I currently work with ages ranging from 12 to 50 but my focus is on children and young adults from the ages of 12-24. My specialties include Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Depressive Disorders, ADHD, anger issues including (Oppositional Defiant Disorder), relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, and school related problems. I also focus on difficult life events such as family separation or divorce, changes in self-identity, or struggles with social relationships and/or school-related issues. These are crucial developmental concerns that can impact a child's emotional well-being and overall growth.
I am committed to helping all children and young adults learn how to create a safe space for them to explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and build healthy relationships within their lives. My therapeutic style is personal, interactive and collaborative. I want to ensure that children and young adults feel accepted for who they are and to encourage an atmosphere of understanding, where feelings, thoughts, and experiences are heard without judgment. She will let her clients know that it’s okay to express their emotions, whether through words, art, writing, or physical activities. I also want them to explore different ways of expression that feels comfortable to them. I will teach my clients that It's essential to establish clear, respectful boundaries, ensuring that people feel safe and that their personal space (emotionally and physically) is respected. This can help them develop a sense of control over their environment. In addition to establishing healthy boundaries, I will encourage them to build connections with others who respect and support them. Healthy relationships are key to one’s emotional growth. I will be there to provide ongoing support through counseling and will strive for all children and young adults to gain a better understanding of their personal strengths and abilities to help increase their confidence healthily and effectively.
