About me
Hello, I'm glad you're here! I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia, and I provide therapy for adolescents and adults navigating issues related to anxiety. I have been in practice for 20 years.
Anxiety can show up in our lives in many different ways - fear, perfectionism, feelings of low self-worth, people pleasing, negative self-talk, and avoidance, but we don't have to suffer alone. When anxiety becomes overwhelming, therapy can be a safe, non-judgmental place to learn coping tools and to become more aware of our thoughts, emotions, and behavior patterns. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness based techniques, depending on each individual's specific needs and treatment goals.
I have a warm, gentle personality and first and foremost, I believe in creating a therapy space where you feel heard, understood and valued. I am receptive to feedback about what works and doesn't work for you in therapy, changing approaches if needed, and I want you to find the best fit in a therapist (even if it's not me). In my personal time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and two dogs, reading, sourdough baking, listening to podcasts, and exercising in fun ways!
